When scientist Cyril Callister first invented Vegemite in 1923, Australians hated it. It took 15 years of perseverance and determination before we embraced it.

The Happy Little Vegemites’ Project is delivered in schools by the Cyril Callister Foundation (CCF) team led by Cyril’s grandson Jamie Callister, author of Vegemite the True Story of the Man Who Invented an Australian Icon (Murdoch
Books 2023).

A portion of all proceeds from school visits goes towards the Cyril Callister scholarship fund to financially support regional Australian students undertaking tertiary science studies.
